Ubuntu One is a cloud service similar to Dropbox, SpiderOak and so on, which allows users to store files online and sync them between computers and mobile devices. The service comes with clients for Ubuntu, Windows, Android and iOS.
Canonical has announced the Ubuntu One referrals program today, through which Ubuntu One users can get up to 20GB of extra storage space by inviting friends to join Ubuntu One.
For each person you invite, you get an extra 500MB of free space and also, the people you invite get an extra 500MB of space for free along with the initial 5GB they get for signing up to Ubuntu One. You can invite a maximum of 40 people, which means you can get up to 20 GB of Ubuntu One cloud storage for free. The free storage space you earn will last for as long as you continue to use Ubuntu One.
To get your referral link, sign in to your Ubuntu One dashboard and you'll find the link under "Get more storage free!":
