TV-Maxe features HTTP remote control, Gstreamer, VLC and Mplayer backends and more.</div><br /><a name='more'></a><div style="text-align: justify;"><b>The latest TV Maxe 0.09</b> brings theming support, a much requested feature that allows <b>stream recording</b> (this feature is still in alpha so it might be a bit buggy), <b>scheduling support</b>, auto turn off, better support for m3u8 files, an improved user interface and other fixes and minor changes.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">The new recording feature can be tweaked from the TV-Maxe settings: you can set the recording quality as well as the audio/video codecs and file format.</div><br /><br /><br /><h2>Install TV-Maxe</h2><br /><b>To install add the new TV-Maxe PPA (if you have the old PPA, remove it) and install it in Ubuntu, use the following commands:</b><br /><pre class="linux-code"><code>sudo add-apt-repository ppa:venerix/pkg<br />sudo apt-get update<br />sudo apt-get install tv-maxe</code></pre><br /><br />To be able to play some of the streams, you must also install these packages:<br /><pre class="linux-code"><code>sudo apt-get install libmp3lame0 libavcodec-extra-53</code></pre><br />For now, there are no packages for Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail but you can manually change the PPA source in <i>/etc/apt/sources.list.d/</i> and use "quantal" instead of "raring" for now and TV-Maxe should work.<br /><br /><b>Arch Linux</b> users can install TV-Maxe from <a href="https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/tv-maxe/">AUR</a>. <br /><br />For other Linux distributions, download the TV-Maxe source from <a href="http://code.google.com/p/tv-maxe/downloads/list">Google Code</a>.<br /><br /><br /><div style="text-align: right;"><i>via TV-Maxe Facebook <a href="https://www.facebook.com/tvmaxe">page</a></i></div>

Ubuntu 12.10 Gets Option To Disable Online Search Results In Dash [Unity 6.8.0]
