Also, Freeciv is highly configurable and can be played in multiple modes: Freeciv, Civilization, Civilization II or a custom mode.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><b>After more than 2 years of development, Freeciv 2.4.0 has been released recently, introducing a huge list of improvements and bug fixes, such as:</b></div><ul style="text-align: justify;"><li>the maximum theoretical map size has increased from 128,000 to 2,048,000 tiles; the maximum linear map dimension has increased from 512 to 32,768;</li><li>the number of playable nations has increased from 387 to 541;</li><li>the server now supports a "delegation" feature similar to that in Longturn, where one user can nominate another to temporarily take over control of the game;</li><li>there is a new "map image" feature to save an overview map as an image</li><li>new server settings: "revealmap" allows the map to be shown to all players at game start or dead players and "first_timeout" allows the first turn to have a different timeout from subsequent turns;</li><li>revamped player authentication;</li><li>player colors are now assigned centrally, and can be changed with the "/playercolor" server command;</li><li>the 'autosaves' setting gives finer control over when savegames are generated;</li><li>the freeciv-modpack utility supports more modpack types, more options (see --help), and uses the Curl library for network access;</li><li>the AI code has been heavily refactored, with a view to making it easier for people to start their own projects to write better Freeciv AI;</li><li>the unit selection dialog has been revamped to allow browsing and selecting units by combinations of location and activity, anywhere in the world;</li><li>the orientation of units is now tracked, so tilesets can provide different graphics for different unit orientations;</li><li>Many gameplay, AI and other changes.</li></ul><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">This release also introduces a GTK3 client which, even though is fully playable, is currently considered experimental. How To Disable Recursive Search In Nautilus 3.6 or 3.8 [Patch w/ PPA]

<div style="text-align: justify;">The type-ahead find feature was removed from Nautilus starting with version 3.6. Now when typing in a Nautilus (3.6+) window, it performs a search in the current directory and all subdirectories instead of selecting the file or folder that matches what you've typed. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">This feature is not that bad except for one thing: searching in subdirectories makes it pretty much unusable at times. Using the default Nautilus 3.8 (Ubuntu Saucy), a lot of files show up when typing "gen" which is confusing and makes it harder to spot the file I was looking for. Using the patched Nautilus, only the <i>genymotion</i> folder and the <i>genymotion-1.2.1_x64.bin</i> file show up so I immediately spot the file I was looking for.<br /><br />This may not be the best example, but I'm sure many of you have noticed how annoying the recursive search is in many situations.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">If you prefer the old type-ahead find feature, unfortunately there's no way of getting it in Nautilus 3.6+, at least not yet. Adobe Flash Player Hardware Acceleration on Intel Graphics Cards

<div style="text-align: justify;"><b><a href="https://github.com/i-rinat/libvdpau-va-gl">libvdpau-va-gl</a> is a VDPAU driver that uses OpenGL under the hood to accelerate drawing and scaling, and VA-API (if available) to accelerate video decoding.</b></div><br /><div style="text-align: justify;"><b>Using it, you can get hardware acceleration on some Intel graphics cards for Mplayer </b>(well, we already have <a href="http://www.webupd8.org/2010/10/use-mplayer-with-vaapi-support-hardware.html">mplayer-vaapi</a> but it hasn't been merged)<b> and even Adobe Flash Player. However, the open source AMD drivers should have built-in VDPAU support (you need Linux 3.10 and Mesa 9.2).</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">In my test (Ubuntu 13.10, Intel graphics), a full-screen 1080p flash YouTube video used around 160-170% CPU without libvdpau-va-gl and about 14-17% CPU when using libvdpau-va-gl. There were some occasional spikes when using libvdpau-va-gl, but usually it stayed around those values which is a really great improvement.<br /><br />Note:<b> I've tested this with Firefox and Chromium browsers with Adobe Flash Player 11.2 r202.
